Miniature perfume bottles in front of a (real) rose.

Lit from below with a incadescent lightbulb with a yellow gel on top of it. The perfume bottles are sitting on a piece of striped white paper on top of a some glass with the light bulb underneath. Another light is to camera-right shining on the rose (and casting the shadows of the bottles).

Shot with the Canon 100mm/2.8 Macro.

Guess maybe I should have put a regular perfume bottle in the picture to give a better sense of scale to how tiny these perfume bottles really are?

NIce. Seems a little to golden, but then again it may be for ambiance. Nevertheless, I like it. Good luck!

You have very expensive taste in perfume!... I find the rose a little over powering

this is an elegant picture... would be a nice ad shot (maybe with the Amarige moved a little to keep the petal from intruding on the name of the product). it's a little cliche', but the crispness of the image more than makes up for that. nice shot.

i love the color scheme, and the focus is perfect ! ...but i think that just one bottle would have been enough... well done!

A rose is a tough choice for a size challenge, since they have roses that are small, as well as very large. (See a couple of entries that used roses) A normal red rose is say 2 inches across, and a normal perfume bottle is about the same. I am afraid it would have been more effective to use the perfume bottles as the point of reference and a smaller rose. Instead of a rose, could have used something else a women would have to give a sense of scale. I really can't tell if these objects are one inch high, two inches, three etc...
Other points, the lines on the paper are distacting, and the yellow cast implies an auto white balance and then inside lighting. There is no one spot for my eyes to rest on, but there is no circle of leading lines to draw my eyes to see the whole picture either. I would have prefered the image with just the rose and the right most bottle. the green stem leading in one direction and the "leaf" on the bottle (flame?) leading in the other both bring the eye to the right one third line, and the contrast between the rose and the bottle's color
