Nice shot Lev...i love taking shots of this pier as well. In fact, i have a shot of it hanging up in the Del Mar fair right now...

Your brain is to sharp to see soft Lydia!
Well done Lev. You found a degree of angst not often associated with La Jolla. |

I like the sharpness... but maybe I'm not smart enough to have a stupid brain. LOL!

7 from me. For one or other obscure reason, the sharpness made me not score it higher. It is an amazingly sharp image. While the scene is definitely not overly busy (i.e. is minimal landscape), my brain still saw it as very busy. Stupid brain. I like the image. |

Lev, I'm sorry not to see this one go higher. One of my 10's. Gorgeous! |

Excellent composition. I wish you had shown a bit more restraint with the sharpening. |

I always liked this pier. I am familiar with it by now, having seen it a few times in different challenge, and I almost always like it and look at it with fresh eyes. (I also have my favorite spots that I visit and revisit often for each time they say a different story) Here it's very scenic, although I cannot call it a "minimalistic set" but a very effective one.
I mark the picture by how I like it and not for "minimalistic". 7 |

I just noticed that all of my top three choices are black and white. This is one of them. Beautiful pic.10 |

Wow, looks great. Makes me wonder how was this picture taken. I suppose it was taken at daytime because of the shadows in the lower part of the pier, and also the light on the ocean ant the pier itself. But the sky makes me doubt cause it looks like a dawn unless this part has post-processing. Anyhow, is a beautiful picture. |

I love this, although it is neither a landscape nor minimal to me. Gorgeous light. |
