Hi there John, had just finished writing this and then for some reason unknown to me, it suddenly disappeared. OK, let me try once again!

As always this is an outstanding picture from you, I was interested to see your take on landscape and was unsurprisingly impressed with this beautiful picture. The beauty that you have captured and the process you used to achieve it are both superb. You have met the challenge well and even though photographing a favourite subject, you have managed to create a very unique picture. I love the blue tone and the effect of the infrared, especially on the foreground water, which has become almost metallic, it has a very mythical feel to it. Your composition is great, I especially like the leaves in the foreground. I think that this would make a wonderful panoramic picture, cutting out the waterfall and concentrating on the texture and colour of the foreground water would make a very simple yet etheral picture. Although the waterfall fits the challenge and adds to the overall composition, I feel that the slightly blown out sky, brings us back to reality, in comparison to the foreground. Overall, I love this picture and was surprised that it wasn't in the top three, though to be honest the beauty of this stands alone. I look forward to seeing your future work. |

This is a beautiful photo. You did a good job with the motion blur of the water. I also love the lighting and the colour tone. -stephan |

Beautiful scene, not quite sure about the blue monotone tho. Very well taken, well composed and excellent sharp focus. |

Not much to say here but, Bravo friend. You did very well with this shot. This would be a print I would hang in my house. You did a very good job with everything. It is a tab bit blue but you caught the water in a great way. Nice leaves. The light is a bit Harsh but, there is no point deduction becuase it makes the picture. Wonderfull Job.

My pick for the best this week. Nice colors, soothing image. Great clarity and composition. Good lighting. Sanguine. |

It must be the slow shutter speed combined with the blue tone that makes the water look almost solid, like blue silly putty, but effect gives the photo an offwordly feel. Brook is also nicely lighted and exposed. I would have cropped the trees on top and just have the waterfall section. Might have been a stronger composition. |

Excellent shot. I love the angle and perspective, and the really nice blue colour. The water looks so nice and smoothe from the movement. Great photo! |

The color, or lack there of, really makes this photo for me. I also love the diagonal lines, and the way the soft water seems to just float. The time exposure has giving the water a "translucent" feel, which adds excitement to the photograph. Great job. 10 |

Wooo I like the use of a single tone on this picture. The bluish purply tone is great. The picture looks awesome. |

This is just awesome! I especially like the blue hues...makes it more unique (would have worked nicely for the Blue challenge as well)! Nice to see that water hasn't frozen over in some places yet. =-) 9 |

Very Lord of the Rings... :)
A little too dark and the very long shutter has actually meant loss of motion towards bottom of frame, though it's captured the waterfall area well. |
