Singapore Central Business District, view from Fullerton Bridge, Marina Bay.
Single image shot in raw. Long exposure, smallest apperture, lowest ISO. The lights from the street lamp above the flowers nearest the camera were a bit off, so i used my cellphone video lighting to add more lights.
I took several shots before i was able to get one with very long streaks of light from the passing cars.
Layered two images from a single raw file, one with original image as captured, and the other with boosted exposure for the flowers. Added curves layer to boost the reds in the layer-masked sky, originally a boring post-sunset blue.
Layers were merged, perspective was corrected (16mm lens), Topas DeNoise, resized, re-sharpened.
The black building at the middle may seem to viewers as showing some halo, or jpeg compression. It's not. It's actually a top-to-bottom line of LED lights. The blue Maybank building actually spent a few million dollars for those LED lights, as part of their contibution to the beutification process of the area.
That's the urban part. For the nature part, I'm just so glad that the Bougainvilleas are in blooom. Well, it is perenially in bloom, but this month, it seems more colorful, more pink, less green, and best of all, it seems more dense than the in other months.
I actually took several images with this frame, planning to clone out the passing tourists, but that would be for a different image outside of DPC.
