 I decided to go pester one of the baristas at a local coffee shop for some latte art for this one. She obliged, being so kind as to even whip me up another "subject" while I was shooting. I wish I could've had things figured out more solidly before I got the drink, but I sorta changed up what I was going for. As a result, the crema on the shot of espresso has settled and created a rim (which I couldn't fix due to Basic editing). This was constantly happening, so not a lot I could do. I needed to change things up because I forgot replacement batteries for my other flash, so I only had one light to use :(
Lit using Orbis w/ Sb900 on SC28, held off camera. Killed ambient so this is just the Orbis.
Learned some more things about shooting this sort of shot though, so that's good. Not many entries in this challenge... hope this does well. I'm just waiting for Oliver to enter and blow this out of the water lol

Like the composition. Wish the plate was plain, the spoon print is distracting fo me. Back cup is well lit, front is a little overexposed.

I would have had the negative space at the top the same distance as the bottom below the rim of the saucer (or crop the bottom, making it more square). Nice focus. I love the design on the upper most cup.
