All images with an old-time'y feel will not convey the message accurately in color. Love is a very soft feeling in my world; not to be felt with hard edges and high contrast. Plus, the model's ear looks infected.

I think the reds did you in this time... excellent image... if it were BW.

Oh dang! Did I just recommend BW? GRrrr... I HATE IT when I do that...

I think this is an easy win. I normally hate studio shots but this one works on so many levels, technical, stylistic, visual and emotional, that it's impossible not to be very impressed, even moved by the retro look of days long past and unrecoverable as reminisced in that fading smile and far-away gaze. Or maybe it was that bottle of Kahlua...

And the best use of a hat award goes to.... also the best entry so far. The reflection on the glass is a bit too hot, but thats the only nit I can see to pick.
