 This is from the same event that got me my first 6 :). Mi-24 is an amazingly powerful machine, but you can't really feel it until you are 10 meters away when the power kicks and it's in the air, with an earth-shaking roar. But that was just the beginning - these pilots are completely crazy. They blasted in front of us several times and each time they did this unbelievable u-turn at the end of the runway, with the nose pointing straight at the ground.

If you noticed a speck on the side window - that's a hand. One of the on-board mechanics probably wasn't feeling too comfortable with the in-flight entertainment.

Edited this with ColorEfex Pro, the bi-color filter.

A very nice crop to this..tight and action packed feeling given with it. Got some motion in the blades but would like more. Great shot never the less and the background gives it a desert feel where these Mi's often have operated. Title maybe could have been better as the term does not go well with this scene. That's just a nit, nothing to bring the score down

the frozen blades take away from the potential drama...a slower shutter speed would be better...
