Excellent idea. Worked out rather well, a top pick for me.

C'est chouette, your ball of twine, twirled, like an umbilicus, appropriate, against the spears of flooring.

This one is really nice to look at. I suppose I;m a stripe guy, as it makes the picture for me.

Not sure about the brightness in the upper right, but the rest of it is wonderful. Love the motion, the deep lines, the grain that I can feel and the reflected shadow.

I looked at this for longer than any other photo in the challenge and couldn't figure it out. I could pretend I get it and vote high, but then I'd be kidding myself. I could admit I don't get it and vote low, but that would be mean. So I'm not voting. But well done for expressing yourself.

8 - I like this, creates a strong sense of movement and has a wonderful soft feel with the sets of darker lines at 2 distinct angles over a subtle texture in the background. I like the understatement and elegance of this

A ballerina. A top. A little dog with OCD, chasing its tail. An annoying thought that won't go away. A marvelous image.
