I'm afraid this comes off to me as an average snapshot. It's a good subject and I think some common adjustments such as levels, color balance, contrast and sharpening could bump it up a notch. A stronger perspective view might also suit it to this challenge topic a little more. |

Subject is out of focus, too centered and quite honestly not that interesting in the context of the photo. The trees are disappearing on the top left and full of "jaggies" Also, the photo has a severe color cast and is very flat. The whites are much bluer than they should be. When shooting in snow try using a +1 Ev exposure compensation to get the exposure correct. Also, sorry to say I don't feel this has a "from the ground up" feel to it.
Not trying to be too hard here. I'm trying to give you some constructive advice so please take it as that. :)
