This is to kind of make up for the other picture I just put in my portfolio. You know, the one about the aprons...
Anyway, we were walking back from the WWII museum and walked thru the French Quarter after 5 PM. Omg it was funny. There were scantily clad chicks doing their thing on the streets. Fortunately, as soon as they saw the boys, they'd duck for cover until we were gone.
However, my middle child did see some "boobies" and now, any time we want to send him into a fit of giggles, we just ask him what he saw that day lol.
So this is my youngest, and as we were walking down the street, he was wondering why people were throwing the beads from balconies to the people below. He mentioned that he wanted some and was wondering how to get them. So this vendor across the street saw him pointing and staring. Then the man grabbed some beads off his wall, ran across the street, and gave them to Ean. I thought that was such an incredibly sweet gesture. I wish now that I had taken a picture of the man as a memento.
Anywho, this is a picture of one very happy boy who got his beads in a very innocent manner :)

That is a sweet story. In the seedy French Quarter the love for children reigns.
Love the photo and how your kid is juxtaposed all the bar and beer signs - it's really good. |
