Thank you all for the nice comments and scores! It sure was a funny one to set up.

As many of you assumed, it was quite frustrating to not clone out these lines... but rules are rules. I'm sorry if they disappointed some viewers. A fully processed version is available here.

Thank you all! I am very glad this gathered good votes, despite its bizarreness.
Also, a big thank you to my wife for posing in such a mess ;-)

You must own stock in the fishing line industries. Excellent job.

Thanks :) Don't get me wrong, I do like strange and uncommon setups (and will continue to create them if inspiration comes!), but I also know that it isn't everyone's cup of tea (hence the 2 and 3 votes I suppose).

In my book below 5 means bad technical photo. Honestly I can't understand how anyboy can score a well taken photo below 5 even if it isn't to their taste.

Anyway this probably isn't the place to discuss trolls ... this is a totaly fantastic photo ... a very amusing taking on the Alice in Wonderland and basic editing? zorks only an insanely skilled phototrapher would attempt a stunt like this...

Congrats on the blue! It finally came to me of what this reminds me of; the "Kindle" commercials on television. Everyone may not know about those, but it is very similar. Love it.

Congrats Christophe, I had a pretty good idea this was you because of the complexity of the setup. Coming second to this image is an honour. :-)

Thank you all! Very glad about this result :-)

@ spiritualspatula: In fact some of the threads transit in front of objects, so black wouldn't work well everywhere. Ideally, I should have painted them black when in front of nothing, and white/pink in front of objects, but it was hard to do so since locations depend on lens' angle... A bit lazy I guess.

Awesome shot, great concept. Did you consider using black thread at all?

Very creative and unique entry. Nicely done too. I hope this ribbons blue.

Am wondering if the title is a play off of Mollissima?
Too bad about the basic editing - I can see the supports used to hang things. Must've been hard to conceal them as well as you did.

I am VERY impressed by your effort, and am crossing fingers that you won't get voted down for seeing some of the fishing lines. I realize that Basic Editing limited you in this regard - it would have been SO easy to fix!!!

Super shot, super effort, I love it! 10

Come back to comment.

This was my pick for the challenge. A professionally achieved shot (colour, composition etc) with plenty happening to keep the viewers attention. It's good to see you remembered the basic rules and did not clone out the wires. For me this shows how much setting up was required. With such a great set up I would have liked to had seen a little more light casted onto the hanging chair. Well done - this got a 9 from me.

Holy Cow! What an amazing amount of work! Wonderfully whimsical. A pity about not being able to clone out the lines. You should do an edited version for your portfolio.

Errrr... LOL

Fantastically weird. The only shame is the visible wires. I realise they can't be cloned out in basic editing but perhaps you cuold have painted them black or covered them in mascara or something?

This is by far the most interesting to look at. You did a great job concealing your lines, though I'm sure you wish it were Advanced editing. I really only noticed, because it's such an interesting photo and I spent so much time looking at it. A non-photographer probably wouldn't even notice the lines.
