Clifton beach, one of South Africa's most famous beaches. This is an outtake from the same shoot as my "Orange" entry. I don't like using outtakes like this, but since I entered the wonderful working world this month, I haven't had much time to go shooting, and this was the only shoot I had the whole month. Plain, boring, but some extraordinary colours here. Probably won't be up there due to its boring subject, but I hope the crazy light puts me in the "OK zone" :)

Manual blend of 3 exposures. I used Tony Kuyper's luminosity masks quite a bit in contolling contrast.

Lovely shot and the water really draws me into this pic. I always love this. Sky is magic and the pp on this just to good. ( in my books at least) There is a Clifton shot as well but looking at this it has to be Philip. Curious to know. Whishing you the best, this pic deserves to be in top 5

This is absolutely, breathtakingly, beautiful. The sweep of the Sea powerfully and masterfully draws you in to the Light.

nice long exposure but a little too central for my liking.

Love the flow of the water and sky, they go together so well and then you have the huge rock to anchor it all. Excellent exposure as well.

Like the water motion, a little bit too much sky IMO keeping the rock somewhat centered. Standard Free Study sunset/landscape fare for sure. Good luck.

I'd already picked this one out from its thumbnail on the first look through, and seeing it larger does not disappoint. I'm so glad that Winter finally seems to be over so I can go out and do more of these. What a beautiful sky.

this is beautiful, cropping about an inch or two of the sky allows more of the water to be seen (at least on my monitor) and pulls one into this amazing image even more
