 Played with colors, sharpness. added a border to look like an old polaroid.

This is really good. WAY WAY freakin' better than DPC deemed it scorewise. Makes me wonder why I bother sticking around here. But then if I didn't, I'd miss stuff like this, huh? :-)

For me at first I didn't care for it that much, now I appreciated it a lot more but for me the border takes away from it, at least imo. Bumping the score up but it would have gone even higher for me without the polaroid border. Good luck.

focus seems off and the subject is uninteresting IMO

Different, but the composition sends my eye out onto the bottom border, not into the subject. Also some strange lines in your vignette are a little off putting.
