"Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted."
Scoring points counts for a victory.
The little boy shooting counts a lot to his parents.
#13 is "counting."
Doing your best, whether you win or lose, is what counts.
I wasn't sure how the voters would interpret this, so here is my take -- I tried to cover a bunch of "counts." I predict a 4.72.
I figure I'm going to get flat-nailed by those who believe it doesn't meet the challenge. I think they're wrong. Very wrong, obviously. This picture so meets the challenge in so many ways that anyone who feels differently should have their eyes checked, their head examined and their cameras donated to charities for the blind.
And if anyone tells me that it is best to include the basket in a shot like this, I will tell you that you are exactly correct. However, this is the 3rd or 4th tallest kid on the team, and he is just barely over 4 feet. There is six more feet of air betweeen him and the goal. Kinda loses the punch that wide. ya know?
Put it in bw because, well, I don't know, because it looked better than in color, though I almost submitted in color to prove that my white balance was okay. hahahahah
(I was just kidding about those that think it is dnmc.) |
