I am quite amazed at all the nice comments this image has generated. Many thanks!! I was snowbound for several days last weekend and all of my indoor chairs were rather un-photogenic. This was a wild idea that turned out much better than I expected and I know the birds were more than happy to participate. The chair seat was covered with sunflower seeds, which were quickly hidden by snow. Photo was taken through the window in my laundry room --- and yes, I took a whole lot of pictures trying to get cool silhouettes.

How did you get them all to come to the chair? I love how this has a vintage or victorian flavor to it.

I love starlings. I have a feeling your score is doing well because of the attention to style here, but I'm giving you a ribbon anyway, because it's a truly beautiful image. And I love starlings. They're almost as good as crows.

This may be one of my favorites of the challenge. Not that it matters, but I wish it had a more clever title. The snow makes it look like a painting.
