Greetings from the Critique Club!
First Impression: Very sharp, detail of the wings and body are quite nice! I can't find one to stay still for 2 seconds let alone take a great picture of one
Technical: The background matches the dragonfly perfectly, blue and yellow/brown. Some of the lines on the left lead the focus away from the dragonfly and more to the bokeh.
Final thoughts: The DOF for this is unreal. You finished in the top 25% and this is only your second entry! I look forward to seeing more of your work in the future.

| It would seem that these things are imposibble to capture from the other side, showing their front instead of their behind. That being said, you've captured it nicely, and the focus is spot on concidering your angle. You couldn't have gotten it better! |

| Great macro, surprised by how so much of the fly is in focus, with the background so thoroughly blurred. The white shape in the center is distracting, though, and I would prefer more of the frame to be in front of the dragonfly. 7 |

| I like how the light plays upon the delicate latices of the wings making parts of it sparkle like tiny gems. Details are very lovely on this close up of the resting dragonfly. The blurred bokeh effect where it creates glowing circles in the backdrop and has a warm wheat tones shows a beautiful and dreamy quality. Like sparkles on the lake to complement the sparkles on the wings. Nicely done...bumping up. |
