 This is a picture of my avocado tree, against the blinds in my kitchen, late afternoon. Naturally I desaturated everything but the tree. This is my first submission to DPChallenge so I do not expect to land in the first ten list.

Where is the desatuation? The lighting on the plant is a bit touchy, not really showing the stripes.

To me - this looks like any plant in a modern appartment next to a white window shade. It probably looked great in color, but, only you know what colors were removed.

i really like the background and its lighting. the only thing i would recommend would be to crop out the dark line on the right side. because its the darkest section of the background, it draws my attention away from the subject.

I resally like the lighting and your use of the vertical blinds - it really makes the leaves stand out nicely. It's a simple effective image.

With shades like that its really hard for me to tell if this has been desaturated or not, although I suspect that you desat them.
