 The Sounds of Silence is one of my favorite songs and the lyrics "The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls" have always stood out to me. So just before New Years I hopped on the TTC here in Toronto and patrolled the various stations. After a futile search for some graffiti (boy does the TTC keep all forms of graffiti off of the walls) I noticed these posters for some new TV show. They had words like Death, etc... so I grabbed a few shots, and this was the best.

I had originally intended to make the title: "The words of the profits are written on the subway walls", because the CBC is currently involved in demanding extra fees from the cable companies for local TV. But I'm not sure how the DPC community would take the lyric change, nor if they would understand the hidden context! :)

Wow! This shot did way better than I would have thought. Almost a 6! Thanks everyone for the great comments. I'm particularly happy with this shot, since I went out with an idea, and was able to make it happen with a bit of luck :)

Great shot. The sepia look is nice. Good catch woth the poster and good job still not making the picture just about the poster.
I've taken the tube from Yonge 100's of times... and miss back. Particularly to the Keg Mansion which used to be my (almost) daily lunch spot. Same comfy chair every time. 9
