 The base of a cassette tape... remember those? Wound right back to the start as the magnetic strip would have been a give away.

Sadly mitigates against those less than 20 years old - the CD generation!

Ah, the younger kids might never have seen a cassette tape up close with the semi-clear fabric leader against the pressure pad. Great capture of the texture and technology. Hope my guess is close.
