I am very proud that I got this pretty well lined up, straight, and framed pretty much right out of the camera. Unusually steady today ;-) And a centered composition, no less. Not my usual style but I like how it all came out.
OK, except for the jaggies on the wires, but short of redrawing them after I resized I couldn't seem to fix that. The wires are twisted cable so ... that's what they'll have to look like.
These towers and lines crisscross several of the parks I visit regularly, so I knew the area where I wanted to shoot. 3 images, handheld and combined in qtpfsgui. Used the D200's bracket function so I didn't have to change settings in between shots.
PP - qtpfsgui (combined 3 originals as HDR, tonemapped pregamma 0.636, mantiuk method, contrast mapping 0.1, saturation factor 1.049, detail factor 1), copied tonemapped image as a layer on top of middle exposure with 30% transparency, rotated 1 degree (SO close), slight crop to even out edges, increased saturation and contrast, burnt a few background trees and cloned out bright spots in far background, resized, sharpened, added border. |

Nice perspective and framing, but it seems a little flat and hazy. Could have used a little contrast adjustment and a touch of USM. I do like it though. Good luck. |
