i've always liked this shot; in fact, i think it was this one that really triggered a lot of my city shooting.
the post processing is very interesting, and i hope to make use of it with some of my images. one thing i'm quite sure of is that this technique will not make a bad image good--you have to have a strong foundation image (like this) to begin with. great job! |

this is fantastic, been meaning to comment on it for a while now. while i love the starkness that gradually leads into the motion of color--what stands out to me the most in this picture is the lone girl standing on the island, talking on her cellphone (?) as if oblivious to the riot of traffic going by her. and given that big-city mentality--she probably is. :)
for me--this turns an already great picture into a fantastic one. very nice work! :) |

the white is a little too washed out at the top, but otherwise I love this picture! |

The highlites look blown out to me. While this was probably intentional, it's distracting to my eye. I do like the motion blur however. If it was a compromise of exposure (slow shutter speed to blur motion in bright daylight) a neutral density filter might have helped. |

I like this. This probably would have done well in the Selective Desaturation Category. |

I like the idea here but your background is too light/desaturated, balance between realism and artistic has gone a bit too far |

I like the still person with the moving bus behind them, but I don't care for the overexposure on most of the shot. |

I really like the effect you have got here (high key?) I suspect it was taken through a car windscreen ? as the white portion in the foreground which blots out the traffic island looks like a reflection. That is the only nitpick for me as the image is full of vitality and subtleness..from the person on their mobile to the reflection of the no entry sign on the moving bus..hope you don`t get too many "blown out sky" comments as that seems to be a favourite excuse for scoring down this type of work...absolutely brilliant and top marks from me...10 |

Great shot! London? Love the motion blur of the cars/buses, the blown out sky, and the girl in the forground. Colors are also great! This shot had better make it to the Top 10 or else! |

i like this. the white-out effect is very good, having the natwest tower in full frame is ALWAYS a good thing, and what i like best is the girl on the island, still amongst all the blurriness. i'm having fun trying to guess where this is - it's west of the tower perhaps... bank looking up threadneedle? only think is, it's a shame the buses in the background are clearly defined. but that's the only thing |

I like this picture. The sky and buildings are almost too white for my liking, but that is what you intended. I would love to know how you did it. |

This is my personal favorite; I have a feeling you may get socred lower by some here for its "artistic" take, but hopefully I will be proved very wrong!! |

I really like your red accents against the high key effect of the city. Person adds interest to the shot, you've captured a sense of wild motion. Only wish the white thing in the lower center wasn't so distracting. As presented, one of my favorites this challenge -- good luck |
