 This was the first time in my life I ever „worked“ with a snail. I was VERY apprehensive about it but he/she/it was very cooperative ;-)
The only problem was I’d no idea that snails are always on the move, constantly changing direction and constantly moving their heads. I had a hard time getting a sharp pic but was happy with this at the end of the day.
I then took the snail back to where I found it. No snail was harmed in the making of this image.

Fantastic stuff Irene. I knew this was going to be up there for the shear quality of the light and detail and composition and color and....you get the idea...it is fantastic.

They are fascinating indeed and always on the move. At least, quite slow! :))
I had two, one was very difficult to shot because he kept eating paper like hell.
