 Taken at the start of the Hartford Marathon and Half Marathon. I tried to capture the energy of the scene. I hope I did.

Surprised by the decent score...but no complaints here! This is the shot I saw in my head when I decided to shoot for this challenge...sometimes the idea matches the delivery.

The score has just kept going up all week. I am thrilled that this may approach a top 10, especially as this was more an experiment for me, getting me out of my comfort zone of having everything sharp in focus...

Post Challenge: Thrilled by the HM on this shot. Thanks for the great comments and score! And thanks to my crazy wife Carol, a 10 time marathon runner, who 'invites' us to come along. She is the reason I was there to get the shot, but more importantly, she picked the color version this image over the b&w for entry. You rock!

I think this is a great shot, but then i love this kind of thing. (i got nailed hard though for using blur, i hope you fair better.)
