It's not IMO about seeing or not the lady. I mind the processing just a teeny tiny bit. Somehow harsh.
To me that's a corrida. The head of the toro looks so clearly enraged by the person riding backward in a bubbly mud.
A great scene.

Commenting as part of my Team Suck duties...
"Oyster shells look like women"?
Sorry... I can't see it at all. This is a very different photo, but not surprising coming from our illustrious leader. Oh... I see it now... looked back at it to look for something intelligent to say, and I saw "our lady". Excellent! Unfortunately, I don't think most voters would give this enough time, or enough revisits to see it and perhaps this is part of the reason for the lowish score. I now wish I'd have given it more time, or came back to it during voting... but alas, it's only know I get the true message within your photo. Well done. |

nice. I'm not sure I'm seeing what you saw, but that's what makes it good, I think. |

Uh oh. I see a dog face, a very decomposing alert and menacing dog face. But that's just me. |

This is a wonderful image in my opinion. One of my favourites of the challenge. I gave it an 8. |

OK, I'm going through the Free Study submissions, purposefully finding those images I think are shot with a less conventional eye - this is one of those images! Thanks for offering something that isn't just DPC friendly eye-candy (though of course there's nothing wrong with eye-candy). I'll be picking one of these images for my Mu (most underrated) award:
Positives: I'm a little mystified by this image and I'm sure, to an extent, that is your intent. It isn't a pretty image but it does have a degree of fascination which holds our interest as we ponder 'what is that??' Not only is the subject ambiguous but so is the scale and the wider context.
Critical stuff: All of the above! Clearly confusing voters may not be too good for business.
Overall: This isn't an image I'm going to pretend to like but I think I can appreciate some of your intent (I think...) |

Not sure what's going on here. I've stared at it for a while to see if I'm missing something, but while I can make out some forms it's not anything of interest and I just don't get it! |
