 Taken just hours before the submission deadline of the Waiting challenge. I didn't know what kind of picture I wanted to submit, until this one just sort of came to me. So in a hurry I called up my friend and she was willing to let me a take a few pictures of her, sitting on that bench, holding a rose.

Too bad you can't really see the rose too well. I wanted it to be red, but I figured the picture should be either full color or all black and white (as I'm sure I'm not even allowed to keep the color for just the rose in there with the rest of the picture B/W, probably against DP Challenge rules?).

Modifications: B/W, slight hue, cropping.

i like this one..yeah the rose isn't that obvious,,,if you didn't mention it,,i wouldn't have noticed it,,anyway im still adding this to my favorites

Very nice shot, one of my favorites in this challenge. I keep thinking "What could she possibly be waiting for where she is?" Could have gotten a little closer, what is she holding? is it central to the challenge. I think a tighter crop could have lost the pole and showed greater detail. her expression is priceless you should have shown it more. But great shot. 7

Her position on the bench is good. It infers she is saving a seat for an expected someone for whom she waits. Meets the challenge perfectly. Nice Setting.
Slightly overexposed sky at the horizon.

lovely composition. Her sitting on the side of the picture puts a lot of tension on the rest... i feel myself waiting with her, staring at the "empty" right side...
