 A last minute opportunity presented itself when these two began an aerial dance. I'm not entirely certain it was a friendly thing, but I'd have to go do some research on butterfly behavior to be sure.

Not tack sharp (LOTS of motion blur) but not bad for an in-flight shot I wasn't out to get ;-) Delighted to be able to get both butterflies on ROT intersections with that nice complementary diagonal in the background. Really pleased with the composition.


PP - converted from RAW, rotated, cropped, white balance, increased contrast, resized, sharpened, slight USM, added border.

That's awesome! Nice timing, it must have taken a lot of time to get this shot. The thirds are great as are the colors! They seem a bit bright (on my computer) and a bit OOF.
