I'm pretty sure it was said already... Anyway I love how you used the trees in the front as a "frame" for the tree that's far away. Also nice light, composition and colors. Kudos |

DOF is great with my old 15mm fisheye, and it seems that you have universal focus at f16 and 12mm with this lens. Great choice of subject and POV make this a fine shot. I like that you left it color, so that the different elements stand out from each other. It just looks very natural, and not over processed. |

Gorgeous! I really like how the front tree is not silhouetted. I am guessing that is the dodging part? Great exposure on this, and great natural framing. The simplicity is appealing. |

I love this shot! At first viewing, I immediately thought "Alice in Wonderland" - not because it reminded of it exactly but more because you have managed to take something really mundane (a tree!) and turn it into an almost mystical image. Awesome job! |

Beautifully done.

i'm assuming you used some kind of flash to expose the first tree while setting the camera to expose for the sky...? |
Thank you.
No flash, just a bit of dodging on the tree and a bit of burning on the sky.

I like your idea and the effectiveness of the DOF here. I think the framing of the shot where the tree trunk dominates the composition is a little overwhelming. IMHO the shot would have been equally effective even if not so much trunk was visible. |

Great shot, very well composed, very painterly. Did you use the shadow/highlight filter? Or manually lighten up the foreground? I notice a bit of "glow" between the sky and tree trunk upper left. Still great shot |
