Not taken for the challenge. Interested in the dog who belonged to the man sitting whose head is curiously obscured by the nether parts of the woman, his companion, as she leaves in a sort of officious huff. I liked the dog's expression, though I wonder if she was reacting to the vibes between the people. 'Scuse me could be for the dog or the woman, or both, a possible subtlety that emboldens me to submit so plain a photo for the username of a photographer whose work so often goes beyond.

Delighted and gratified by the response, especially that it pleased skewsme and that Melethia intuited the scene, and that I have caused posthumous to risk his reputation.

Thank you, white dog.

Wow! You must have either been very lucky to be prepared to get this shot, or you saw it coming and had enough time to raise your camera.
It fit the challenge perfectly with the username association.

Oh,yes. I paused (paws-ed) before this one during voting for a long time. I felt SO sorry for that dog. What an expressive face and posture.

And great seeing on your part.

Wickedly funny timing. If we didn't laugh, we'd go mad.

Should have finished much, much higher. An excellent interpretation of the user name, brilliantly composed, and an ideal example of the Critical Moment.

I realize there might be some bias in play here, but I just can't avoid giving this photo my top honor. The timing is perfect, the layering is exceptional. It is funny and profound. and profoundly funny.

One of my favorites - the dog's sad and almost apologetic look in the face of the woman's apparent rudeness...

Snapshotty in the extreme, but it totally suits the username.
