i didn't actually get this picture at all. political implication aside, i don't know what sport you are talking about, but the whole chance thing i get as well as how this could all recoil back on us. the picture is good, but the subject, for me, isn't. - 4

What team sport is this?

nice clear shot, but weak composition

Not certain that I get the concept, but it's a nice photograph.

I'm sorry, I just don't understand what is going on in this image...

This is actually quite a nice picture. I like the composition, focus, DOF and levels. Very nice capture of the reflection. You might have used PS to remove dust and scratches. So all that said, I bumped the score down from 5-6 because I can't for the life of me think what team sport this is, team slinky? Therefore, doesn't meet the challenge. (2)

don't think I get the sport here....I DO see America and Britain as partners..team mates...but I miss the sport here...

nice shot, what sport does this represent?curious

Interesting political perspective. I'm not sure how the spring fits in, but the dice is a nice touch with the irony in the message.

What team sport is played with dice? And what does the spring represent? Am I missing something? I don't recognize the non-US flag. My daughter thinks its Australia. Could it have to do with yaghting? Forgive me for my ignorance on this. Flags aren't something I pay much attention to.

As a still-life it has problems. The downward tilt leaves the impression that the obects are in danger of sliding out of the frame. The chrome background is distracting.

Really nice photo. I like that the metal isn't too shiny and you obviously thought a lot about lighting. It's a good composition. The only real comment I have though is that I don't understand it. It may be a sport I'm not familiar with. I'm giving it a 6.

I don't see the tie to the challenge ( could be USA myopia ) but the shot is lovely with fine contrast composition and colors.

I am not sure how this meets the challenge?Otherwise it is a decent picture

I don't understand the significance of the objects in this image. It is nice & clear though, well focussed.

don't see a sport here...

i don't get it.

Not sure exactly what you are going for here. The feeling I get is the US and Britain taking a chance on the roll of the dice and .......?????????? If you are talking about the team effort to go to war, I'm sorry, that is not a sport by any stretch of the imagination. A very nice shot, not sure why the spring is there, nor the dice, technically, very well done, but overall appeal, not really there. And since I can't really figure out the team/sport aspect (which is what I thought the challenge was supposed to be about) I'm sitting at a 3 on this one unless I can figure this out.

I have looked and looked and tried to figure out how this relates to a team sport, as hard as I try I just donĂ¢€™t get it. It is not a bad photo so that counts for something.
06/02/2004 07:51:30 AM
I don't get the team sport notion.
06/02/2004 07:12:21 AM
love the composition, but playing a game to me is different than playing a sport... I guess it's sort of physical...could maybe strain a wrist :P
06/02/2004 04:26:41 AM
Nice macro but too many ideas not really clearly relating to a sport as such.

very good
