Post-processing:

a little bit of rotation CW
cloned out some unwanted reflection
color adjustment on the pears
levels adjustment
selected the dark background and increased the darkness.

added border

Canon 28-135mm IS USM lens at 56mm.

Very fine lighting and detail and I like the composition and use of negative space. I wish the color of the pears was richer.

I think a little bit of negative space under the pears could have improved the overall composition a bit, but I like this. Nice texture, and lighting. 8.

Always a tricky one...how much negative space to include. Maybe too much here as doesn't fit on my screen without scrolling. Also I'm not sure border should touch the pears. good effort

Its a good photo, very clear and great lighting (i could never get it that good), but I really don't see the point of having all of the excess black space on the top. I think if you cropped it just above the stems, It would look better, and wouldn't make it seem so empty. But no doubt, its a great photo. 8

interesting use of negative space. I wonder if they are too far down still. I think the thin greenish-yellow border bothers me so close to the pears. Still, the lighting and overall feel of the image is good.
Like how the last pear has a stem pointing back to the first two. draws the eye back to start over again.

this probably silly, but I love that the keyline matches the pears. would have like the see the third stem a little straighter, but that's a personal pref. great pick!

Simplicity at its best! And for once, a really nice use of a frame, I particularly like how they seem to be physically sitting on the bottom edge of the frame - 8

great light - very "painterly" I like how the light catches the stems of the pears, makes them look like they are dancing (a bit like Renoir's onions) Wish we could see the bottoms of the pears better -and the frame is unnecessary.
