 This is a lotus flower shot in the tropical house of the Botanical Gardens in Birmingham. This was the first image taken before my lens misted over too badly in the 100% humidity.

I alternate between liking this and finding it a little gaudy. I also question whether the background is too busy.

A more blurred background could greatly improve the image. Nice composition and color's contrast.
