 This fly is being lit by the light coming from the monitor below, as well as desk lap.

Cropped. Levels.

Not expecting it to do well, but I hope I can at least get a 5. I haven't been to inspired by the challenges lately. Threes should be fun.

ewwwwww! ;) cool lighting.. I'm not sure if the contrast in tones from the bug to the screen works for me (perhaps try a background on your screen with some richer, more golden hues to pull it all together), but still a cool picture

The fly crawling over the eye on the computer monitor is an interesting subject. The largest half of the frame is a bit cluttered by the rest of the monitor which is a bit blurry. It took me a second to figure out what this was. I imagine the monitor was one of your obvious sources of light?

To be honest I can't figure this out. I think I understand what you're trying to do but the composition hurts the effort. This may be a great idea but just impossibly difficult to capture.

nice spur of the moment type shot. too bad there wasn't more appropriate imagery on screen (like dog poo or potato salad or something).
