Yes, I know its been done lots of times and its not original, but I've never done this kind of shot before. I picked up an aquarium at a flea market for $7 last Sunday so I've been playing with it since. I'd really like to edit out that one bubble on the top right hand corner but I'm afraid that would be against the rules, too bad. There should be plenty of fantastic shots for this best of challenge so I'm not expecting much. I know voters here like to be blown out of the water by a picture, not dropped into it. CHEERS!
*****************************

Thanks for the nice comments, there were a lot of great pictures in this challenge. Congrats to all.

It took somewhere like 30-40 drops in the water to get the splash right as well as the hard part, getting the label turned forward and in focus. I had 2 500 watt work lights stationed in front to get enough light to get a fast shutter. Next time I'll bump the ISO more now that I have Noise Ninja

Bob smacked his forehead, and wished he could turn back time. Never, in his life, had he seen a worse bartender. Never, in his wildest dreams, could he have imagined such an incompetent person existed.

Yet here he was, in front of him, serving up the most impossibly stupid drinks while a bar full of people looked on in utter amazement at what they saw before them, and when someone ordered a Club Soda and Gin, and the idiot threw a full, unopened can into a pitcher full of premium Bombay Sapphire, it was simply the last straw.

I like the reflection of the can off the surface of the water, the motion of the water, and the colors being so vivid.

I have never tried one of these shots. I assume it is difficult to get perfect sharpness for the object. This lacks that sharpness. Otherwise good choice using the blue can it makes this photo pop.

I love these kind of shots. :) I always think they look so cool. My only qualms here would be that the label isn't quite dead on (though I can't imagine how difficult it would be to try to get it to drop just right), and that I'd like it a tad sharper. I like the irony that its called Canada DRY though. :D

Beautifully executed capture of a subject that has become a bit of a cliche. Doesn't diminish the photo at all, but makes me hope for something more original.

Reminiscent of a similar shot with a kiwi... :) I like it, though I would have liked a more colourful background, personally.
