Wonderfull Photograph. As a now landlocked surfer I miss the days at the beach. I feel that you captued the dedication of us silly surfers, rain, storms, and cold weatehr we were always the beach. Perhaps it's my imagination but the girl in the photo even apears to have a smile on her face. The bright pink and reds against the somber grey also adds alot to the this shot. Thanks for sharing this wonderfull shot with us.

You might get points deducted for those who do not know what "wahine" means (not wahini). It's a Hawaiian word that means "woman." Lighting seems a bit bright and extra hazy. Focus seems a bit soft. Nice vibrant colors on the surfboard.

Excellent capture. I might have tried adjusting the levels to get her and the board a bit darker though. Very nice photo!

Nice stop motion, but something doesn't seem right, the surfer looks like she's been stuck on another background.

Her red board really "pops". If the focus were a little sharper and a little less "busy", it could a bit more effective, I thnk.

love the angle of her legs and torso -- kind of sets off the bright red board

a little out of focus on the subject

This is brilliant. I so wish I could capture a photo like this - full of colour and movement and yet with a high key, almost misty background. Must see how it was done! 10
