An interesting exposure and composition. It doesn't feel like opposites ... I can't make out the foreground. The decoloring is a great choice.

Over exposed, not to the challenge, and your beach needs to be vacuumed.

bit over exposed, makes me dizzy looking at it for too long

I like this picture quite a bit but don't feel it much for the opposites challenge... great work though... i like the blown out whites

Way overexposed and while knife and fork could be opposites, the message is not immediately seen. Try again. 6

I'm not sure if the overexposure was intended, but it doesn't work well for me.

Not really sure what the opposite is here. The post processing, if that is what caused the effect, really hurt this shot for me. It's blown out and the rug or material under the dish doesn't really come off as sand to me. The cropping seems a bit tight, maybe line up the fork and knife so they cross and crop the ends at the corners? A 3

I don't particularly care for the overexposure or blown out highlights on this photo. I also don't get what is opposite.
05/13/2004 03:36:08 PM
Light is a bit harsh.
05/13/2004 03:22:47 PM
?? opposition? (sorry)
05/13/2004 11:54:50 AM
Huh ?

Way over exposed. Don't see any opposites, either.

I'm not sure I understand the connection to the theme on this. I find it a little overexposed. The angle is interesting though.
05/12/2004 08:54:05 PM
lighting is much too bright. should have toned it down a little
05/12/2004 08:11:24 PM
too exposed...
05/12/2004 08:02:33 PM
Really nice shot, but I don't get it.

Way overexposed IMHO. It might have been intentional, however, it is not my taste. Also fail to see the opposite in the shot.
05/12/2004 03:12:37 PM
Wow this is fried...! Opposites? I don't see the idea here...sorry.
05/12/2004 11:48:34 AM
a few hot spots on this coulda been tones down a little
05/12/2004 10:40:37 AM
focus and depth of field nee improvement
05/12/2004 03:48:53 AM
very overexposed in places
05/11/2004 11:55:06 PM
does not meet challenge well. very overexposed - i suppose on purpose, some artsy attempt at...making a pic that hurts my eyes to look at? background looks like rug, not beach sand...and then the border - too thick and too dark. Not my favorite photo, but better than many in this challenge and 10 on creativity.

I can't tell for sure if this was just over photoshoped of seriously overexposed. Probably PS, the shadows aren't deep and muddy. Anyway, nothing about this works for me...compostion, subject, and how is it opposite??? 2 sorry.
