 This image was taken as part of my portrait a week project for 2009. My friend Chris graduated the ACI academy to become a corrections officer. Finished 29th out of over 500 initial applicants.

The funny thing about corrections, even with the economic downturn, I suppose he'll never have to worry about job security.

I love the emphasis on blue tones in this... kind of retro. The light is interesting coming from both sides... it's a little odd to have the dark spots in the eyes and around the nose but it makes it a bit quirky, which I like. The centered composition adds to it. Well done! 8

Conveys a tough image, really hard on the facial imperfections....which could be your intent

The image seems a bit flat to me... I think the drab background is too drab. Also, the lighting making such deep shadows on this eyes is not pleasing to me.

But, I really like the centered composition and the processing. I hope this does well for you.
