Thank you for all the comments. I learned something this time about over sharpening. |

A very inspiring view. :) Nicely sharp throughout, good range of tones with detail in both the forested shadows and bright clouds. My only nit is I'd like to see some of that sky cropped down, but that's a matter of personal taste. Well done. 8 |

WOW nice composition. Great looking clouds. Only markdown is because the mountains appear oversharpened |

Well, this is a classic Ansel scene, of course; you're standing in the man's footsteps :-) The light is less expressive than it might be, very flat along the left of the image, and this is hurting you, though of course I recognize you wouldn't have had the luxury of camping out there for days on end waiting for the perfect light and clouds. The rendering of tones is quite good, except the thickest clouds seem rather blown out. For me it's a little oversharpened, but this is SO dependent on differences in monitors that I disregard it. Nice homage to the master. |

When you walk in the Masters foot steps how could you not get such a nice image.Next time maybe you could come up with something original in the styel of Ansel. I do like the image althought you can see the clouds are a planted image. |

I looked at this image for a long time. Must have been exciting to stand in what appears to be the same spot as Ansel's "Winter Storm Clearing". There's a lot to like in this image. I like the contrast and the zones. Maybe too bright in the clouds, or maybe I'd like to see more detail in the clouds, but sometimes the clouds don't cooperate. There are some factors holding back the score on this image. I have looked at it on two different computers/monitors. Seems to be pixelation in a couple spots. Not sure if you unintentionally lowered the JPG quality too much. Some halos, too. Could be a filter you applied. Might be oversharpening artifacts. Sure is a great scene, but it does not snap to clarity for me. |

This really reminds me of Ansel Adams work! Beautiful composition, lighting and depth of field! Lots of bright whites and deep shadows too. Great job! |

This would have been a winner if it hadn't been spoilt by excessive sharpenining it looks more like a wood etching now.
10 for composition nd exposure 3 for processing, 6 overall |

Breathtaking Yosemite Valley shot. What is that El Capitan on the left and Cathedral Rocks on the right? Well done. |
