 Each year the elephant seals come to Piedras Blancas (north San Luis Obispo county) to have their pups and mate again. It is such a pleasure to hang out with these massive animals for the day. This day, I only saw two pups and the entire time I was there, the mother seals were squabbling. I am sure it was about whose pup was the cutest. These two were not roaring at me, but at the other mom just out of frame. I take a very non-intrusive approach to photographing animals; if they are disturbed by me, I leave.

Love the similar expressions, pity both faces aren't completely in focus. Have you tried a tighter crop, maybe vertical with the faces in the top and bottom thirds?
