I like the point of view on this image. Using an upward angle helps to keep you from looking for distractions on the ground level, and emphasizes the bird.

Good shot!

I do not care for the subject. Also there is a lot of noise in the sky. If you have not downloaded the free NeatImage you might want to check it out.

A 3.

Great sculpture. The lighting brings out the textures and colors nicely.

Even in the bright sunlight, this looks strangely sinister. It is that mindless look.

Looks like a sculpture to be seen in Arizona. I especially like the inclusion of other things to give scale. Perhaps change to a more side view, but that's minor. 10

This is a great sculpture! Unfortunately, I see it as another artist's vision and this photo has done nothing to add to it. Why include the background distractions? Why frame the entire subject when parts could convey so much?

You didn't follow the 2nd part of the challenge - "and then look for ways to compose an interesting picture around it".

I bet this does very well, though I wouldn't want to live next to it in a windstorm. Good job on the sky and the color of the bird. I wonder if there isnt a different perspective that would take out the stuff underneath him.
