Thanks for all the comments. The white at the bottom came from croping at 5 AM, I didn't realize it was part of the image until after I had submitted it.
I didn't want to go onto private property to get a better angle. I do plan to go back and meet the owner latter to find better angles.

This is a great shot. I've always wanted to create lawn ornaments out of metal. You really got the theme of the challenge, something beautiful around rust. Congratulations on a terrific shot. :)10

These sculptures are wonderful, I think it's worth going back - if possible - and exprimenting. The tender spring foliage adds to the atmosphere, but I think this is not the ultimate solution

This is a great image! The dark skys are perfect for slaying a dragon. Seems like it could use a little sharpening, but very well composed.

Nicely idyllic. Excellent use of spring colors in foliage and depth of field. Cropping off a very small amount of the ground in the nearest foreground would not hurt, and an angle that did not fully cover the face of the knight would be another bonus.

A 9.

I really like th eperspective on this one. It's hard to tell exactly how big the dragon and the knight are. And the contrast between the sky and the vegitation is great.

St. George looks a bit rusty himself; but then you can't have everything.
Good picture.

sharpened a little would be a 10......9

Love the sculpture, doesn't the knight need a big can of WD40? Good composition, the sky is not particularly interesting, but you can't replace under the editing rules. 9

very good effort i think one horse ? may have been better
05/06/2004 04:51:32 AM
Neat--why didn't you crop the bottom?
05/05/2004 06:37:05 PM
good timing light wise. interesting subject.

I like this a lot. It's hard to tell the scale of the figures by the low camera angle which makes a nice illusion iof they are small. The sky color is interesting and I like the subtle colors of the trees in the back.

Very appealing image despite the name of the competition. Different. I love the use of colors. I am sure will be one of the ribbons. I wish it blue. 10

The dark cloud behind give the illusion of a different time. Wonderful art!

What a fun shot. Love things like this. Neat looking sculpture. Maybe if you'd of just photographed one of the objects a little closer we could see more detail.
