This is cool Sandi, I like it. And I personally like the negative space -- I think it adds perspective to the photo.

These look like the tassels at the edge of a blanket. Reminds me of dreadlocks for some reason.

Nice DOF and great use of B&W. The top right corner with all the negative space is distracting, but I almost feel like I would miss if it were changed.
