 Obviously the title is a play on the [former] Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Pahlin claim to fame: the 'Bridge to nowhere' project in Alaska that was apparently abandoned.

I liked the mood that I was creating while editing this, but it was the title that brought it all together for me. Both played well to the challenge title so I don't think this was shoehorned one bit!

Though this had some appeal to me, I wasn't terribly in love with it but I'm trying to get back to the 'enter a challenge every week' mentality. Thanks a ton for the very generous comments...

i don't think it's a bridge ;)
great shot with lovely tones, that for me only matches the challenge in that abandoned feeling/atmosphere when looking at it, otherwise i'd say it's kinda shoehorned in. still a 7

I like this a lot, love the dark line that seperates teh horizon from the water, love the monochromatic choice, love teh shadows. Great pic.
