This is the entrance to the Vic Hislop shark display in Hervey Bay.I set out to shoot people running or walking towards Jaws, then as I was shooting out came the receptionist and started to scratch her nose,to me right place right time.Added the border to give the impression jaws was coming out of something as the edge of the photo did not give this effect.
Not living in the city with massive bill boards to work with, had a go at creating and effect with the Great White Shark.

Nah, you needed this in color, and this is from a B&W kinda person. The red of the mouth, the blue of the sky - not sure it would work as well without that. This really is a very cool shot - I like it alot.

How interesting! I really like this. I really like the way you have created the border to continue the black in the image and to balance the composition. I like the bold colors and the geometry. And I really like the light. The composition is outstanding. I like the perspective of the huge shark and large person in the foreground with the small ship and very small person in the background. Marvelous image.

...back again to make my score an 8.
at first the odd border bothered me (thats my own issue with vorders)..but the kitchyness of the tall shark with the person who appears to be yawning, along with your framing of the sitution is great...cheers

this is quite interesting to look at. Not sure why the black on the left, but it seems to work.

Not sure what the woman is doing, but the ship and kid in the background along with her standing in the mouth of the shark makes for a surreal image. This is interesting and the more one looks at it the more it feels like a painting that should be hanging in an art gallery. Wish her hand was down, but that's not within your control while shooting the shot.

poor choice on the border

While I suspect you really wanted the woman in the jaws, it's the child running across the way with the ship behind that truly makes this work. I do like the unbalanced border - I think it works nicely here.

One of standouts in the challenge. The shapes and context are magnificent. The figure in the background really seems to break up the static shot and add some humor and tension release to the photo. I'm a line slut, so this really works for me.

Ha! Good one. Nice framing, the child in the distance really adds to this.
