Took a piece of gold metalic paper with a pattern to it, pleated it into rolling folds. Used not very much indirect artificial light and a long time exposure. After experimenting with variations of the zoom on the 18-55 lens to creat patterns in the fractured light, I ended up using my control image, a straight shot. Cropped the result at a pleasing composition, used levels, curves, unsharp mask, some bright. Fun.

This is great! It certainly fits the challenge, but more than that, it is quite a good representation of abstract paintings that came out in the 50s and 60s. The colors are wild, the angles and lines arranged in seemingly ordered chaos and repetition works well. The diagonals make this appealing to many appreciative eyes.

A little dark, but the great compostion, shapes and colors override that for me. Excellent.

because your light and shapes are defined, I think this does a good job of meeting the challenge and having some interest to it besides.

Very pretty. Like looking through a kaleidoscope.

a bit too dark, which didn't let the full color 'fun' come out, but the chaos of the object is great.
