 Went for a family day drive to the Hai Bar reserve.This Ostrich came right up to the car and started pecking the windscreen and the windows. Leaned over my wife and she put down the window just enough for my lens to fit through. Had a fun day.

i love the work you did on this photo. the 'darkness' of the background combined with the brightness of the ostrich makes the shot very powerful.

I love the detail, but not so much the halo around the bird's head. Either this was oversharpened, or there was some HDR done on it, either way the halo is a bit distracting.

I like it alot, especially the eye reflection and black fuzz, but don't get sense of natural environment.
