 scaled up 145% & rotated a bit ..
i'm not overly happy with the overall appearance of this image .. just doesnt seem to be that visually appealing and on my monitor i've lost detail on his eye area .. but its already the 4th & i havent put anything in our macro side challenge, so this is number 1 ..

after matt MattO's comment i did a shadow/highlight on his face .. it now has more definition ..:)

Roz.. Roz.. I'm going to call you the Queen Bee, It's really nice to see your work, the detail you get it's always amazing, You are complaining about the detail on the eye, but if this picture was mine, I would be running up and down by the beach and screaming like crazy.

I'm not going to count this as one of my comments, so consider this a bonus! I love this shot and the detail that it has. This is very well done. The detail in the flower stem is amazing. I do agree that a little eye detail would have been nice. Perhaps mask the rest and do a little shadow highlights on that area. Other then that this is well done.

Great capture Roz. It's more visually appealing then you think! I agree with cryan The flower is well captured. Not all of your macros can get the eyes like this!!



Macro Princess eh? :) I think sherpet is telling you to up your game and aspire to be a Macro Queen!

I know when you add your macro shot here is would be a BEAUTY.....

I am so impressed with you and the way you take macros. Sheer perfection every time. This is so awesome and I love the splatter of pollen everywhere. The detail and clarity in the flower is amazing, and a joy to the eye. The bee is a bonus.....

I think I'm more inpressed with the detail in the stem and on the petals than the bee. I know that sounds harsh but it really is not intended that way. I'm just stunned at the detail of those things sticking out of and hanging off of the flower. As for the bee there is tons of detail on my monitor. I love the pollen sticking to his body and how you can almost count how much is there.
