Thanks to talj who gave me a membership...

Many, many thanks. Ghosts are cool with posthumous ribbons.
The (a) reason this may bear some similarity to the original is that it is taken at Ekeberg, the place from which Munch took the landscape in his famous picture.
There's a plaque nearby commemorating the fact -

It's written in Norwegian,
saying: 'The Scream' was painted in Berlin in 1893. The landscape is the view from here.

Ya know, when I found out this were you it occured to me (and skewsme) that you might be in striking distance of the actual location. And so you were! Do you know that the red sky captured in that painting may have been caused by Krakatoa?

Great idea, Peter, and well done. You've done variations of The Scream before. Is there something you are trying to tell us? :/

Ok, I don't like being the one to give you bad news... but you might be a ghost dude.

In some mysterious way, this goofy picture actually evokes the feeling of the original painting... something about the strong lines of perspective and the way the subject blends violently into the background at the same time he pops out of it. You get a Posthumous Yellow Ribbon.

Funny idea! Considering this was minimal editing you pulled it off pretty well, but I have to admit I can see a ghostly body supporting the screaming head.
