This is so cute. I love that little peeking face. Have you tried Topaz Adjust? I find that really helps if you want to highlight a Rockwell feel to a photo. If you want, I can do an edit and show you what I mean. With or without any additional editing, it's a great catch....

got your PM but it wouldn't let me send one to you! I did a quick edit. Not totally what I was going for but it's enough to give you some ideas. The software is at www.topazlabs.com

A truly engaging image. Not so much Rockwell as Hopper for me..... |

Jay mentions the first thing that struck me with this: the tonality straight out of the 1970s. Can't expect the digital children to understand that, I guess. It's all helped by the structure, and the lack of any of the impedimenta of the contemporary - where's the iPod, the cell phone, the PSP? - and the plastic-looking glass speaks of that 60's 70's shock of the new thing - as does the melamine-looking table and the scratchy man-made material feel of that bench seat. It could be the corner of some quiet road-side diner somewhere, and you'd have to bet that those kids have just seen some big-finned brand new motor car pulling up outside.
All that, and it's beautifully composed. They have their own stories going on here, but actually it's the impetus to imagine the surrounding family life that entrances. |

Ah, but if it were monochrome, then I suppose you'd lose that Rockwell'ish feel. Still, might work. Love it when serendipity rears her beautiful head. |

Very cool feel, similar to an artist who's name escapes me. Only thing that bother's me is the noise. |

Nice picture - Almost has the look of an educational school book from back in the 70's. Like the colours and tones. |

Heh! Very entertaining take on the challenge! I think this might also work in monochrome. |
