 This is a last minute entry. It was getting near the end of the month, and I realised that I hadn't taken any photos! So, I took a night out on the town to shoot. As soon as I found this shot, I knew I had my entry. It was pretty scary though, under the freeway late at night. I was going to title it "Under the bridge downtown" after the Red Hot Chili Peppers' song, and thinking of that song just made the whole thing scarier! Anyway, I wasn't sure if many people would get the reference, so I tested it out on my wife, and she had no idea what I was talking about. So, we now have a new title. :) Simon and Garfunkel are a bit better known.

As usual for me, this image involved several hours of editing. Mostly dodging and levels work, some minor cloning, some desat and resat, and some selecting sharpening and blurring.

I am very happy with the final result, and also very surprised that it came out so well. :)

Thanks Jaker, you are right, "Under the bridge downtown" is a Chili Peppers' song, not Nirvana as I first said. :)

Excellent, Excellent photo, and going into my favs!! I had to comment though, because "under the bridge downtown" is from the Red hot Chili Peppers song Under The Bridge. Nirvana DID have a song about Kurts alleged time spent living under a bridge, and that is called Something In the Way. I know, I know, but I'm that music guy, and those are two of my favorite bands! :-)

The title is distracting. The scene looks more serene than "troubled". Good photo though and I gave it a good score.
