 Grand Canyon sunset.

HDR sequence - 6 images, tone mapped in Photomatix. Curves adjustment, crop & image size in CS3. Taken August 5, 2008 while 1 hour outside my home time zone (depending on whether the National Park follows AZ time or Navajo Nation time)

Wow, I am in total shock at the moment... thank you all for your votes and for the kind and helpful comments.... I don't know what else to say right now.

Okay. The day I was at the Canyon on a side trip while traveling on work, I figured this was going to be a bust for sunset. Storm clouds moved in and I figured they would obscure anything great. My goal was to try out hdr on the Canyon, having shot it many times in single shots from film to digital.

With nothing better to do, I stuck it out and finally, this spot opened up and the light was amazing. I was happy... and even happier now. Thank YOU!
